Lebanese singer Julia Boutros is back with a new tour after a two-year absence since the successful fund-raising campaign entitled “Ahibaii” (My Beloved) where she raised and donated US$3million to the families of the martyrs who perished during the Israeli war waged on Lebanon in July 2006. Dubbed after her new song “Lebanon” to be performed for the first time during the tour, the “Julia Boutros sings Lebanon” tour comprises an agenda of various concerts to be held in Lebanon and Syria, among other countries to be announced at a later stage.
The tour will kick off with two concerts to be held in Casino du Liban, in the singer’s home country Lebanon, on Friday and Saturday, the 17th and 18th of October, 2008. It will then bedazzle the fans in Syria with a couple of concerts in Damascus Citadel on Thursday and Friday, the 22nd and 23rd of October, 2008.
The concert promises to be packed with new songs, for the audience to enjoy, prior to their release in the singer’s upcoming album in the next few months. Julia is accompanied by an orchestra of 50 musicians from Lebanon and Armenia, lead by the renowned music conductor Harout Fazlian.
