Bushra al-Maqtari is a prominent Yemeni female activist in Ta’izz, a city south of the capital Sanaa.
Bushra Al-Maqtari is a freelancer working for the Mareb Press. She was injured by ruling party supporters in the southern city of Taiz, while covering a sit-in by demonstrators of the Yemen Protests in a square they had dubbed “Liberation Square” in honour of the Egyptian uprising.
