India Festival Toronto better known as the Annual Festival of India or Ratha-Yatra, takes place in the city of Toronto around the mid of the month of July of every year.

The 16th and 17th of July 2011 mark the 39th Annual celebration.

This special Indian festival starts every year with a beautiful parade along the Yonge Street from Bloor down till Queens Quay. The Indian celebrations take place on the Toronto Central Island 10 minutes away from Toronto by a Ferry-boat.

The festivities continue for two consecutive days and bring more than 40 thousand people.

The India Festival in Toronto is free to the public and includes free vegetarian lunch on the island.

The festival also include various indian art performances and classic indian dance.

In addition a special Spiritual Yoga festival, A South Asian Bazaar.

The event is organized by the Toronto chapter of the Worldwide Hare Krishna Society.
