Mahmoud Reda was an Olympic-level race gymnast before his passion for belly dance took over.
In 1959, Mahmoud Reda founded with his brother Ali Reda and Dr Mo Geddawi the Egyptian Reda Troupe, which made Egyptian folk dance famous.
Mahmoud Reda is a belly dance choreographer, teacher and artistic director.
Although his dance is accompanied by a lot of the baletillisia and näytelmällisiä components, Mahmoud Reda, however, preferred to keep tansseissa in their original character.
