Jordanian budding star and finalist of Arab Idol Yousef Arafat launched his professional career with a song dedicated to his homeland Jordan called “Ya Baladi” (My Country). The song was met with a warm reception, complete with positive reviews from fans who praised the mellow tone and sweetness of his voice.

Musical peers, critics and industry insiders pegged “Ya Baladi” as the first of a new line of Jordanian patriotic songs, inviting more variety to a once-closed genre.

The song proved to be a huge success within just days of its release in the market, and on social media pages, YouTube (the new measure of musical success). Local Radio stations meanwhile revelled in Yousef Arafat’s first steps into a professional music career.

“Ya Baladi” was written and composed by Omar Sari, musically arranged by Khalid Mustafa, and produced by Fahed Al Amleh. Art production and PR are attributed to Abdullah Al Baddad.
