Em 3ata is a fictional persona played by Lebanese comedian Dabbous Dabbous.
Em 3ata (also spelled Im 3ata, Oum Ata or Um Atta) is supposed to be an uneducated married populist woman from rural Lebanon. She always finds herself in funny circumstances (mostly sexual).
Dabbous explained that the character is based on different women he actually knows that were regrouped into one called Im 3ata. One inspired the voice, another inspired the look, a third the walk, etc.
Dabbous says Em 3ata is the most successful character he has played so far, aside from the Saudi sports TV anchorman, and has become more popular than his actual self.
