Walid Toufic also known as Waleed Toufik or Walid Tawfik is a Lebanese singer and artist. He was born with the name Walid Toutounji on the 8th of April 1954 in Lebanon. He grew up and lived his childhood in Tripoli before he moved to live in Beirut.
Walid Toufic started singing at a very young age.
In the year 1973, He participated in the Lebanese talent program, Studio El Fan. The song Ouyoun Bahiya made him a star overnight. Soon after, his popularity took him from Lebanon to Egypt where he starred in a number of Arab movies.
His song Inzel Ya Gamil was a hit song which gave him a lot of credit and made him a true star. He was given the nickname Al Najm Al Arabi, which means the Arabic Star.
Walid Toufic is married to Georgina Rizk, former Lebanese beauty queen and Miss Universe for the year 1971.
In 2010, Walid made a good comeback with the song Ma Fi Shi Byetghayar (Nothing changes). The song played for many weeks on most of the music charts in the arab world, and gave him popularity and fame one more time.
