Miss Earth 2011 Beauty Pageant will be held in Thailand on December 3, at Impact Arena Muang Thong Thani in Bangkok, with the theme “Smile for Earth, for All”.
Miss Earth is an annual international event that strives to promote environmental awareness, in addition to beauty, culture and diversity. Delegates and contestants are required to be involved in humanitarian and environmental causes, such as tree planting ceremonies, with the crowned winner undertaking international ecological projects, thus the slogan “Beauties For a Cause”.
Miss Earth 2011, the 11th edition of the Miss Earth Pageant, will be held this year in one of Asia’s largest tourism destinations, in concordance with the International Year of the Forests. Nicole Faria from India, Miss Earth 2010, will crown her successor at the end of the event, which will feature some of the most beautiful women from around the globe.
It is interesting to note that PD Creation, the Miss Earth 2011 Thailand host committee, fought hard against China to win the chance to bring the 11th Miss Earth pageant to Thailand. The event will therefore also be a grand showcase of Thailand’s rich culture, tourist spots, and, more importantly, its efforts to save and protect the environment, boosting as a result its tourism.
The Arab World will be represented by:
Nathaly Farraj from Lebanon
Huda Naccache from Palestine.
Other revealed candidates include:
Driely Bennettone from Brazil
Hasleen Kaur from India
Agnes Benitez from Puerto Rico
Renate Cerljen from Sweden
Kerel Razil Pinder from the Bahamas
Aleksandra Kovacevic from BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA
Irina De Giorgi from SWITZERLAND
