A Portable PA System also known as PAs is an electronic amplification system with a mixer, amplifier and loudspeaker which can be easily carried around.
The P.A. stands for Public Address system and it is mostly used to amplify the sound of the person addressing a mass of people or public while giving a speech or simply playing recorded music.
Portable PAs are also very useful for a DJ who wants to play prerecorded music, and distribute the sound throughout a large space or hall. It is also good for small bands with small groups who do not have a fixed location and are on the go.
A Portable PA system cannot empower a very large space, however it is a good solution for small venues such as school auditoriums, churches and bars.
Portable PA systems are generally lightweight and run for hours on built-in rechargeable batteries. Hence eliminating the need for an external power source.
Since the early 2000s, the manufacturing and production of Portable PAs have improved dramatically. The portable PA systems have reduced in weight and size. Providing more sound power and longer battery life duration.
