We denounce such acts of aggression, which can only lead to more hostility rather than resolve conflicts.We are reaching out to the international community to put an end to the devastation in the region and call upon all parties for the resumption of peace talks. There can be no justification for the killing of innocent civilians. Council members extend to the families of victims our deepest sympathy, solidarity and continuous support during these trying periods.
