?Lebanon Software Process Improvement Network? (L-SPIN) is a forum for the free and open exchange of software process improvement experiences and practical ideas.We promote achieving higher levels of process maturity, software quality, and mutual respect. Our goal is to enhance skills and support technology transition through an active program of networking, publications, recognition of excellence, and mutual support. Lebanon Spin is based at the PCA premises, in which all meetings will be held. PCA puts its facilities at L-SPIN disposal. Lebanon Spin holds monthly meetings, suggested to be the second Tuesday of each month (Official holidays or conference conflicts will be avoided). These meetings are free and open to the public; anyone can join and be placed on our membership list. The meetings start at 18:00 PM for networking and light refreshments. At 18:30 PM starts the evenings special program (which generally lasts 1.5 to 2 hours depending on the topic and the audience participation) Each meeting addresses a specific topic such as the Capability Maturity Model, software process technology, metrics, software testing, risk management, and ISO 9000. A typical meeting format consists of a presentation by practitioners and experts on a specific topic followed by discussion. Other formats such as interactive workshops and brain storming sessions are planned for enhancing the learning experience.
