Elissa may become a Movie Star Too

Egyptian Film Director Ahmad Atef held negotiations with Lebanese singer Elissa trying to convince her in taking part in his upcoming historical film entitled Al Andalus or Al-Andalusia.

Atef felt that Elissa could add more glamour to his film and will be a big surprise to it as well. Atef believes that Elissa has a big potential as an actress and that she should attempt to enter into the big silver screen.

Egyptian actor Omar Al Sherif and Algerian singer Cheb Khaled have also been contacted to join as part of the movie cast.
Ahmad Al Sakka, Ahmad Hilmi and Mouna Zaki have been nominated to take part in the movie.

Ahmad Atef has made a trip to the United to learn more about the new sound effects which he plans to use in his movie.
Atef added that it took him four year to prepare for this movie. He has visited many historical places to find the best locations for his film.

Filming of the Movie is scheduled to start around the month of April 2007.

Elissa Stayed in Cairo for several months even before the war started in Lebanon.

Elissa has announced that her first concert profits will be donated to Lebanon.

Elissa has already made two large donations to charity organization which provides aid to Lebanese people affected by the war.

Accoring to Elissa, she has opened a special bank account to channel donations to help the Lebanese people who were affected by the war.
