Rajana Veda Lebanese Dance group constitutes of 30 dancers carrying the spirit of dance and Lebanese folklore.
Its first production was “Rayat� debuted at the Lebanese American University stage in 1996. In 1997 the Group International in the Tyre festival and the Baysour festival in 1998, “Tajaaed�, superb production saw the light in 1999 at the Irwin Hall of the LAU and the West Hall at the AUB in the same year, the group presented “The Operetta Ornina� at the Unesco auditorium and Ivoire Theater during the activities to mark the choosing of Beirut as the year’s Arab Cultural Capital.
The Group also participated Damascus International Fair Festival 1999 and 2002, Babylon International festival for years 1999, 2000 and 2002 Rotary District Convention 2000, Dubai Shopping Festival 2001, 2002 and 2003 Alain Zouhour Festival 2002 and 2003 Also in 2002 it had the extraordinary fortune to appear in the video clip “The Beast� starring Demis Roussos.
Rajana Veda Lebanese Dance Group inaugurated “Nout El Sharq�, composed, directed & choreographed by Mounir Malaeb, music composed by Dr. Jamal Abu Elhisn and Ziad Al Ahmadieh, at the Unesco Palace, Beirut in July 2002 under the patronage of the Lebanese Ministry of information, and in Monnot Theatre in 2003.
“Nour El Sharq� was then presented at Aley Summer Festival 2002 under the patronage of the Lebanese Ministry of Tourism, at Bharsaf Festival 2002 St. Joseph Convent, at the General Assembly of the Catholic Biblical Federation 2002 held in Fatqa, Lebanon, and at Irwin Hall, Lebanese American University, Beirut, Lebanon.
Also, Rajada Veda presented “Nour El Sharq� at Dubai Festival 2003, Al Ain Festival 2003, and toured Mexico in November 2002 to present “Nour El Sharq� in Vera Cruz, Puebla, San Louis Potosi and Mexico City. “Nour El Sharq� played at the Monnot Theatre on April 2003.
Rajana Veda Dance Group participated in Busra 17th International Festival, Syria where, representing Lebanon, it performed in Busra amphitheatre-Busra, Qasr ElAdm-Damascus, and Mu’awiyah Theatre- Aleppo.
In January 2004, Rajana Veda performed at the Middle Eastern Gala Dinner and Show, Malaysia organized by the Arab Women’s Association Kuala Lumpur and attended by their Majesties the King and Queen of Malaysia.
In Lebanon, the Group participated in the 2004 Tourism and Shopping Festivities around Lebanon.
Rajana Veda Lebanese Dance Group just returned form Athens, Greece where it represented Lebanon in the Lebanese Festival under the patronage of the Lebanese Ministry of Tourism and Athenaeum InterContinental Hotel.
