Itis responsible for the coordination and management of all sponsored research anddevelopment projects undertaken by the University. It enjoys the advice andcounsel of an independent Advisory Board made up of business and communityleaders. Our VisionThe CSRD isenvisaged to be a strategic asset to LAU, Lebanon and the community at large. Itwill reach out to the community and play a major role in the educational andeconomic development of Lebanon and the region. It will also assist in thecreation of entrepreneurial businesses to develop unique products and serviceswhich will compete in the emerging global economy and make substantialcontributions to the Lebanese economy by way of jobs, equity and trade.Our MissionThe CSRD missionis to assist in the reconstruction and development of Lebanon and the MiddleEast by making the technical and leadership services of the faculty and staffavailable to governments, non-profit institutions and commercial/industrialorganizations at a reasonable cost. It will assist in arresting and reversingthe quot;Brain Drain quot; through repatriation of talents and the creation ofwell-paying jobs in the various business quot;spin-offs quot; forming a majortechnology park.
