Béqaa is the primary center of Lebanons agriculture. The Beqaa governorate forms the main geographical extension of Lebanon and it lies between the Western and Eastern Lebanese Mountain ranges. Three rivers run through Béqaa: the Litani River, the Asi River, and the Jordan River.It encompasses Beqaa Valley.[edit]Climate and tourismThe temperature ranges from -10 to 35 °C throughout the year. Béqaa receives heavy rain and snow during the winter.The villages of Zahle, Baalbeck, Niha, Anjar, Qab Elias, Kfar Zabad, Karaon Dam, Chtaura and Furzul are the areas main tourism destinations. The governorate of Béqaa lies on the ancient route between Lebanon, Syria, and the rest of the Arab world.
